MC Squared Energy's 1st Annual Golf Outing Raises $1,370 For Local Ronald McDonald House Charities

September 9, 2009

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Chicago, IL - MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc2), an Illinois-based retail electricity supplier, raised $1,370 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana (RMHC-CNI) during its First Annual Golf Outing this week at Cantigny Golf in Wheaton.

mc2 held the outing to help celebrate its first year in business with its customers, suppliers and business partners and to provide participants with the opportunity to purchase tickets toward a 50/50 Raffle in support of RMHC-CNI. When the raffle drawing was held at the closing dinner, the winner donated their 50 percent share of the proceeds toward RMCH-CNI.

"It was exciting for us to host this inaugural event and help raise awareness and contributions for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana," said Chuck Sutton, president of mc2. "We are proud to support their important mission of providing a much needed home for families whose children are undergoing treatment at area hospitals."

"We were thrilled to participate in mc2's first golf outing and to be the recipient of this generous donation," said Doug Porter, the chief executive officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. "For mc2 to create this event and support us during this difficult economic period is critical to our efforts.  Unfortunately, pediatric diseases know no recession so we are especially grateful for their support."

Established in 2008, mc2 provides electricity to more than 750 accounts in the Commonwealth Edison service territory including commercial real estate buildings, condominium associations, manufacturing and warehouse facilities, retail outlets, educational and health care complexes, and data centers.
