Established in 2008, MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc²) is a licensed alternative retail electric supplier headquartered in Chicago, IL. mc² provides businesses and individuals with competitive electricity supply products to fit their specific needs, including offering 100% green energy products and community solar. Additionally, mc² is certified as a Green-e supplier by the Center for Renewable Solutions, and a member of the Midcontinent ISO and the PJM Interconnection.

Over the last ten years, mc² has served hundreds of thousands of customers and over a hundred municipalities under governmental aggregation programs with excellent customer service, maintaining high ratings on the Illinois Commerce Commission complaint scorecard.

Our Executive Leadership

Charles C. Sutton

President

Chuck Sutton has more than 30 years of energy experience in both the natural gas and electricity industries. Prior to founding and launching mc² in 2008, Chuck was Chief Operating Officer of Constellation Energy’s retail natural gas division in Louisville, Kentucky.  Chuck was also president of DPL Energy Resources (DPLER) in Dayton, Ohio, between 2012 and 2014, the period in which DPL Energy owned mc². During that time, he led the utility-affiliated expansion into the Ohio retail energy markets. mc² was sold to Wolverine Holdings in early 2015.

John Clark

Chief Financial Officer

John Clark has more than 30 years of energy experience in both the natural gas and electricity industries. In addition to mc², John was Regional Controller and Vice President of Operations for Constellation Energy, as well as Chief Financial Officer for DPL Energy Resources (DPLER). John also spent 15 years at MidCon Corp, (parent of Natural Gas Pipeline of America), where he held several positions in strategic planning, accounting, regulatory compliance and engineering.
